Why Are CBD Oils Sold By MLM Companies Typically More Expensive?

It is not a coincidence that the CBD MLM companies sell one of the most expensive CBD oils on the market (as you can see in the image below).

<img alt=”Top CBD MLM Company Price List” width=’800′ height=’738′ title=”Top CBD MLM Company Price List” data-id=’17182′ src=’https://barenakedscam.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Top-CBD-MLM-Company-Price-List.jpg’ style=”width: 100%;” data-lazy-src=’https://barenakedscam.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Top-CBD-MLM-Company-Price-List.jpg’ data-was-processed=’true’>Top CBD MLM Company Price List<img alt=”Top CBD MLM Company Price List” width=800 height=738 title=”Top CBD MLM Company Price List” data-id=17182 src=https://barenakedscam.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Top-CBD-MLM-Company-Price-List.jpg style=”width: 100%;”>

The main reason for the high price is due to the MLM Compensation Plan. If you don’t know how an MLM Compensation Plan looks like, read this.

In general, MLM companies pay their associates:

  1. A certain percentage of commission on a sale;
  2. Whenever a sale is made within the affiliate’s organization (downlines);
  3.  Bonuses and extravaganzas when they hit a certain sales target.

On top of that, the top management will earn an undisclosed percentage on every sale.

So, the high price that consumers pay goes towards paying the company’s associates and the top management.

You’ll be surprised to know that the production cost of the CBD Oil is not as much as what the companies and its associates earn.

MLM vs. Non-MLM Companies

The Multi-Level Marketing strategy exists because companies want to avoid paying hefty advertising and product shelving costs.

These costs are a risk to the company if they are not able to sell their products effectively.

Hence, Non-MLM companies will usually drive down their prices just to earn the sale.

On the other hand, MLM companies transfer the risk to its associates. The company will only pay its affiliates when they have successfully sold a product.

To make the deal even sweeter, MLM companies will incentivize associates for the work done by their sales organization (downlines), hence creating a passive income for the affiliates who build a sales organisation.

You can see why associates will go all out to not only sell the CBD Oils but also to recruit their customers as part of their organisation.

The MLM strategy is an effective method of marketing because the “word of mouth” is more credible than a sponsored advertisement posted by a company.

Hence, the reason why people still buy CBD Oils from MLM Companies even though they are more expensive.

Beware of Claims Made By MLM Associates

There are people especially MLM affiliates/distributors who claims that their CBD products works wonders. Is this true?

CBD Cures Cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Any Other Diseases

If you ever hear anybody making claims that CBD oils or CBD Infused products cure cancer or any diseases.

Stop the person right there and let her or him know that it has not been proven yet.

And that they are making a false claim and could be in trouble with the authorities.

Below is a paragraph adapted from the FDA statement on CBD:

Source: fda.gov

On April 2019, the U.S. Food Drug Administration (FDA) has already issued warnings to 3 companies that make false claims about CBD curing cancer or Alzheimer’s.

Here are some examples of penalties for people who make unwarranted health claims on the products they sold.

While there is a possibility of such claims being true for CBD products, anyone who sells or promotes CBD related products still cannot guarantee those benefits yet.

My Two Cents

In my opinion, I wouldn’t buy CBD Oils or related products from MLM companies because they are typically more expensive.

However, some people will take comfort that the MLM companies produce good quality CBD products.

But to be honest, there is no shortage of quality and cheap CBD products on the market, and there is no reason to buy them from MLM companies unless…

You wish to profit from the green rush.

I know I sound blunt, but this is the truth.

However, the point I simply want to make here is that before you buy a CBD product from an MLM company, think objectively.

  1. If you wish to build a business around the CBD industry, then buy from an MLM company.
  2. But if you only want to consume CBD products, I would suggest to get it from a Non-MLM company.

Also, I have nothing against anyone or MLM companies who wants to make money with CBD products.

As long as the business is legitimate and the company is not deceiving customers about the real quality of its CBD products.

I would even suggest that you take a look at this network marketing program that will help you effectively promote and boost the sales of your CBD products.

On the other hand, it might also interest you to know that there is ONE MLM company I know that sells cheap and good quality CBD oils. Its name is Changing The Future Outcome (CTFO). – Note: I am NOT an affiliate or a distributor.

Regarding this sentence in your article:
“But if you only want to consume CBD products, I would suggest to get it from a Non-MLM company.”

How do I go about finding good quality reliable CBD products that are not sold from an MLM company?

    Thanks, Becky

    1. Hello Becky,

Thank you for dropping by. Now about your question, I’m afraid you have to do your own research on a particular CBD brand before you purchase from them. Most information are readily available on the Internet.

You can also search for product reviews and maybe ask the people you know if what brand of CBD products do they recommend.

      Regards,

Jay, do you have a list of CBD related MLM companies that are not on your list. I’m assuming that all the MLM companies in the list have been designated, correct?

    Rod

    1. Hello Rod,

Thanks for dropping by. There are only a few more notable CBD MLM companies I can think about outside this list such as Green Horizen, Trevo, FirstFitness Nutrition and thanks to your suggestion, VERUM.

Although, other MLM companies have been expanding their products lately to include CBD oils. Take Young Living and JewelScent for example.

Best of luck out there Rod.

      Your pal,

      Jay (BareNakedScam)

  4. Rod Smith says:

Jay, thanks for your comparative analysis and insights. I’m sure it was unintentional, but you overlooked VERUM GOLD (verum.biz/verumgold.html). VERUM is a new MLM company that offers a pure crystalline CBD that has been bio-enhanced into patented nano-sized self-assembling liquid structure that is encapsulated with a patented nano-micel technology to secure product stability through the digestion process. VERUM GOLD is clinically proven to be significantly more stable and up to 20-times more bioavailable than common or conventional CBD offered by the MLM companies you mention and other retailers. Moreover, these claims are supported empirical scientific evidence. VERUM GOLD is without comparison. It is the highest quality CBD product in the marketplace with the lowest “effective” cost per CBD milligram. We define effectiveness by the amount of CBD that actually gets into the bloodstream In your cost analysis you accurately portray the cost/ml for each product listed. But, considering that most of those products are oil based with only limited bioavailability (averaging about 5%) it takes approximately 200 milligrams per serving to equal the bioavailability of just one soft gel of VERUM GOLD (9 milligrams). By comparison, Hempworks at 11.9¢ per milligram in an $89 bottle is really $2.37 per “effective” milligram that actually reaches the bloodstream. VERUM GOLD at $72/bottle is 27¢ per effective milligram because it is over 90% bioavailable. In the future, CBD products will be defined by stability and bioavailability, as well as “effective” cost….In my opinion. One question for you. Are you aware of an MLM company that suffers from an inferior product that might be suitable for acquisition? We could likely turn them on to a better product and superior value for their customers and distributors. I’m just wondering…

Again, thanks for your efforts to educate and inform.
