OneOpinion Review – Why Many People Call It A Scam

You’re probably here because you want to know if OneOpinion is a scam or a good way to make money online.

Well, let’s not waste any time and get right into it!

OneOpinion isn’t a scam.

It is a legitimate Get-Paid-To (GPT) site that gives people an opportunity to make money through surveys and product testings.

That being said, there are valid reasons why some people call OneOpinion a scam.

For starters, besides the fact that you cannot expect to earn a full-time income with OneOpinion…

There have been many instances when members didn’t get paid or received any credits for their time and efforts.

That’s not all!

In this OneOpinion review, I will discuss everything you need to know about OneOpinion, especially the rest of the reasons why some people think its a scam.

How Does OneOpinion Work?

OneOpinion has been around since 2011.

The platform used to accept people who live in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, and Australia.

But just recently, OneOpinion closed the .ca (Canadian) .fr (French), Australian, German and Italian versions of their survey panel on June 30, 2019.

The USA, UK, and other versions remain operational.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to register.  Also, anyone between the age of 13 – 17 must provide parental consent before they can complete their registration.

Cost To Join

It is absolutely free to join OneOpinion. You don’t need to worry about a registration fee, membership fee, etc..

All you need to do is to provide your personal and demographic information to get started.

Why Should You Provide Personal Data To OneOpinion

OneOpinion will use this data to decide which survey you might qualify for.

After successful registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Just confirm your registration, and then you can start making money with OneOpinion.

How to Make Money Online with OneOpinion?

You can earn money with OneOpinion by participating in

  1. Surveys and
  2. Product testings

Surveys pay around $1 – $5 worth of points, and you’ll get rewarded immediately after completing them.

From time to time, it’s possible that you will get lucky and receive surveys paying up to $15!!!

But there will also be instances when you will get disqualified from a survey. When that happens, you will still receive 50 ($0.5) points for your participation (up to 5 times only).

And when it comes to product testings, OneOpinion will ask your honest feedback about random physical products.

These test products that aren’t yet on the market yet and as a panel member of OneOpinion, you will get a chance to see and test new products at home.

OneOpinion will handle the shipping for these test products.

How Many Surveys Can You Participate Each Day

OneOpinion claims that there are plenty of surveys available on its platform.

This is only partially true.

Because in reality, the number of surveys you can participate in and qualify will be greatly determined by your demographics.

So it isn’t surprising that some members can hardly get any survey each day. Sometimes, there isn’t even a survey for an entire week!

And the worst thing about OneOpinion surveys us that there are users who have invested their time and efforts only to find out that they are not qualified in the end.

Sure you will still get 50 points as a consolation but imagine if the said survey took you 30 minutes to complete or longer!

Do you think its fair?

Well, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at the experiences of actual OneOpinion panel members.

While there are those who can’t say anything bad about OneOpinion…

There are also those who have nothing good to say about OneOpinion.

OneOpinion-Waste-Of-Time

Base on these things above, do you think it’s still a good idea to join OneOpinion?

What I Like About OneOpinion

#1 Willingness to Help

Unlike other GPT sites such as instaGC where customer service is terrible, OneOpinion offers a lot of ways to provide assistance to its members.

You can either directly contact them (via telephone, email, or Facebook)…

Or you can send a message to their automated messaging service called Emily.

Base on the feedback I’ve seen from random OneOpinion reviews, it appears that the support team is always willing to help whenever a panel member is experiencing some issues.

The chatbot (Emily) is not that excellent though as it is still having a problem recognizing some of the member’s concerns.

Anyway, OneOpinion’s customer service is still great compared to what other GPT sites provide.

#2 Privacy Security

I haven’t seen any privacy issues with OneOpinion.

In fact, they care about your personal details, and they claim that they will never sell you anything.

Throughout my experience with different survey platforms, I’ve seen a lot of them trying to promote various products to me.

With OneOpinion, you don’t have to worry about that.

What I Don’t Like About OneOpinion

#1 Surveys Aren’t Worth Your Time!

As I have mentioned earlier, the number of survey offers that you can get would highly depend on your demographics.

So there is a chance that you would only get around 2 – 3 surveys per week.

Aside from that, it is tough to qualify for surveys as clients require a very specific group of people to participate in their survey studies.

This is the reason why some members have trouble racking up enough points for cashouts.

OneOpinion-Waste-Of-Time

I don’t about you, but for me, it isn’t worth my time! Earning a dollar or two for an hour isn’t something rewarding even a little bit.

#2 Cashout Challenge

You can only cash out your earnings from OneOpinion once you earn at least $25 worth of points.

This amount is too high relative to the usual points you can earn per survey.

Besides, as I have mentioned above, you won’t get a lot of survey offers, and it is hard to qualify for them due to demographic requirements.

Because of this, you might find yourself almost impossible to cash out.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you will get bored and decide to quit this platform even before your first cash out.

This is one of the reasons why some people think OneOpinion is a scam.

#3 You Might Not Get Paid!

This is a total nightmare for the panel members.

I’ve seen many instances from various OneOpinion review when members did not get paid!

I’ve shared quite a lot of them earlier but here’s more!

Is OneOpinion A Scam Afterall

Despite the many issues I’ve discussed above, the fact remains that OneOpinion is a legitimate GPT site.

But this is my personal opinion and I would love to hear yours in the comment section below.

Should You Join OneOpinion?

OneOpinion might not be a scam but it doesn’t mean that anyone who joins the platform can make money.

As for me, I wouldn’t recommend OneOpinion because I believe one’s time is more valuable than mere cents and pennies.

There are also some serious issues about this platform that could cause your efforts to go to waste. Remember the members who didn’t get paid?

OneOpinion isn’t something to lean on if you want to earn extra cash online.

I do not want to damage the reputation of this site but if you value your time and efforts, then I’d suggest that you weigh things clearly first before you decide to join OneOpinion.

OneOpinion Pros And Cons

Pros

  • Free to join
  • Good customer service
  • Points are instantly rewarded
  • There’s a lot of redemption options
  • Your privacy is safe

Cons

  • Not available worldwide
  • There are not many surveys to go around
  • Tough to qualify for surveys
  • The cash out threshold is too high
  • You might not get paid!

My Sincere Advice to You

If you have already decided to join a GPT site to earn a small amount of cash during your spare time, then I’d recommend that you join PrizeRebel instead.

PrizeRebel is one of the best GPT sites that I have seen so far.

The minimum cash out threshold is only $5, and you can earn money by participating in surveys, paid offers, promotional videos, and a lot more!

If you are interested, you can sign up here.

However, like with other GPT sites out there, you will not earn a decent amount of money from PrizeRebel.
