In my opinion, Affiliate Marketing is one of the best business opportunities you can find online due to these factors:

What Must Every Wealthy Affiliate Member Know?

Before we go further into this Wealthy Affiliate review, you must note that, like any kind of businesses, there are success stories and there are failures.

You have to be mindful that there is no guaranteed success.

Even with Wealthy Affiliate’s top notch education and support, many people still fail in Wealthy Affiliate.

I’ll share some of the main reasons why people fail as you read along.

So, without further ado, lets take…

This doesn’t mean that you’ll have a full blown online business after going through the free starter membership’s course. The hardest part to starting your online business is to take the first step, and this course will push you towards getting started.

Many people kept asking me if they can make money even as a free member of Wealthy Affiliate, and I think I’ll answer it here.

Imagine yourself having only a pre-school education, what kind of job can you get in this society and how much can you make? I am pretty sure that your chances of landing a prestigious job is close of zero.

I know I sound a little offensive, but I just wanted to explain the concept that if you want to be successful, you need to have a lot of knowledge in order to achieve greater heights.

Which is why I recommend people to join Wealthy Affiliate as a premium member.

3.  Hosting 50 Domains + Complimentary SSL Certificates (2017 Update)

Just in case you do not know what Web-hosting is.

Every website requires a Web Host in order to run smoothly. A web host will store all of the website’s information, data, content, design, etc. A website cannot function without a Web host.

On top of web hosting, your website will need an SSL Certificate (you don’t need to know what it is now, but you’ll find out as you become an online entrepreneur). This is due to the Search Engine algorithm updates that forces all websites to have an SSL certificate (otherwise you’ll be out of business, literally).

Web-hosting services typically cost $20/mth by itself, and the cost of an SSL certificate varies between a few dollars to a few hundred dollars every year.

But, in Wealthy Affiliate, the web-hosting service and the SSL certificates are complimentary to your premium membership.

Plus, you’ll get the following:

WA-Update-2017-1

4. Unlimited use of Keyword Tool (2017 Update)

This is an exciting update to all premium members.

Previously, all members have access to the WA Keyword tool, and have limited access to a premium keyword tool called Jaaxy, unless you pay for it.

Since the latest update in 2017, the Jaaxy keyword tool has successfully merged with Wealthy Affiliate, which means that all new WA premium members will benefit from an advanced tool that people like me have to pay for in the past.

A keyword tool is very important for all online businesses.

It gives you great insights into the article or post you are about to write, or videos you are about to create.

This keyword tool will help you get high rankings in search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo. It also shows you how many competitors you are actually up against in terms of the rankings.

The lower the competition, the higher chance for top rankings in search engines.

 5. 1-on-1 Mentor-ship and Support

Wealthy Affiliate understands the importance of support, and that’s why it provides you with all the support you’ll need in every aspect of your online business.

If there’s something wrong with your website or Hosting, you’ll get an almost instant support (5 minutes or less).

I can vouch for this as I always get my questions answered within minutes. This is unlike many other places where you’ll have to wait for hours, if not days, to get your support ticket answered.

If you have a niche specific question, you’ll be able to access 10,000’s of industry experts within the WA community.

If you need a mentor, there are thousands of successful online entrepreneurs who are willing to help you, including me.

I have personally mentored many individuals to success. You can look me up when you are in Wealthy Affiliate.

My profile name is “BNakedScam“.

Plus, you’ll get direct access to Kyle and Carson (the owners of Wealthy Affiliate).

Although WA is a thriving community, and other WA members can basically support you with any kinds of questions you may have, the owners of Wealthy Affiliate are genuinely helpful and are still very engaged in the community.

6. Mingle with 1.2 Million Like-minded Online Entrepreneurs

There are truly many experts and successful online entrepreneurs within the Wealthy Affiliate community.

They all started out just like you.

Why People Fail in Wealthy Affiliate?

There are several reasons why people fail within Wealthy Affiliate.

Even with top notch education, support, and its 100% commitment to help people achieve success online, there is still a group of people who’ll fail in Wealthy Affiliate.

These are the group of people who will fail:

1. People who give up easily

Well, these are the people who will never see success in anything that they do.

I am sorry to say this, but it is the fact.

I have seen many people testing out Wealthy Affiliate and gave up after a month.

Some people complain that there is too much work, some complain that they have never seen any results, some never even started.

There are always reasons for people to give up.

But those who didn’t give up, have seen success. I have seen many success stories within the Wealthy Affiliate Community and I really hope that you will be a part of the success story.

2. People who are too impatient to succeed

These are the type of people who are rushing through the Wealthy Affiliate Courses, skipping lessons after lessons and thinking that they know better.

After months, they figure out that they haven’t gotten much results and they quit thereafter.

This is exactly what you shouldn’t be doing.

You really have to take the time to understand and implement the knowledge gained from the lessons.

At the end of each lesson, there are specific tasks that you need to do.

It is really important for you to complete all the tasks because eventually, a step at a time, it will bring you closer to achieving your goals.

Skipping any steps or missing any tasks would mean that you are taking a shortcut. We all know where shortcuts lead us in life, so do not ever commit that mistake.

3. People who are not doing things right

I have seen many people who are resistant to change, even if something is not working out for them.

Bear in mind that this is a business, and you shouldn’t take it personally.

Whenever you do not see any results within your first 3 months (at least some organic traffic coming to your website), it means that something is wrong with your online business. It is time to figure out what is wrong and fix it fast.

Many Wealthy Affiliate members followed the lessons blindly and expects success.

Well, to be honest, you have to think out of the box, and put your creativity and problem solving skills to work. When you encounter a problem which you do not know how to solve, always seek help from the WA community.

The Wealthy Affiliate course is not a full proof system, but if you persist and continuously upgrade yourself and your business, you’ll soon be able to see some results.

You can’t expect to achieve success by following what everyone is doing. You have to have your own idea and thought process for your online business.

Do not be stubborn to think that you are right. In online business, you have to change, change and change until you find success.

If you upgrade to the Premium membership within the first 7 days, your first month will be $19.

And if at any point in time you find Wealthy Affiliate not suited to your taste, you can cancel the membership with just a few clicks, no question asked.

My Final Take

Wealthy Affiliate is highly recommended for people, especially beginners, who wants to make money from home.

Most importantly, it is not a scam. You will definitely get your money’s worth.

The things that you can learn from Wealthy Affiliate is definitely workable and you can really make money through this program. I am the living proof that Wealthy Affiliate works.

Most of the programs online will have some form of upsells (more products to buy), but not in Wealthy Affiliate. Join Wealthy Affiliate now as a starter member and see where it takes you.

I have just started WA and to anybody who is considering this, it has ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that you need to succeed in affiliate marketing, but it comes with a catch….there is a ton you have to learn. 50 lessons in all. Think of this as going to school to learn a trade. From what I hear on the WA chat, you might make a full time living at it in one, two years or never. The advantage is that it’s a dirt cheap career. But no short cuts here. You gotta work at it, part time, full time, off and on like a lot of people, but everything you need is there. It’s all up to you. The only limitation, the only unknown factor IS YOU.

Great insights Victor! You have basically sum up everything I believed about Wealthy Affiliate in your short comment! 🙂

Hey jack. I just saw your site while having a research about planpromatrix. And Wealthy Affiliate Caught my eyes. Its an online business? Do you earn money too with this?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Steph,

Wealthy Affiliate is a training program that teaches you how to do affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is an avenue where people can earn money promoting other people’s products or services. This is the best place for any beginner to learn because they have a conducive step by step training that will bring you through every step of your journey.

Though there are no promises, but you’ll definitely learn a ton in this place. Not sure if the free trial account is available for your country, but you can try it here.

Looking forward to communicate with you on the inside.

Hi Jack,

with WA can I sell my own products and can other sell mine?

many thanks

Jaes

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Jase,

Wealthy Affiliate is a learning platform and not a platform to solicit affiliate marketers, and it is focused on teaching Affiliate Marketing. However, the knowledge can be applied to building your own business as well.

Basically, the knowledge you need to grow your own business is “General Internet Marketing”. The traffic generation methods taught in WA is similar to how you can drive traffic to your own business, but what is lacking in the WA platform is the implementation of your own affiliate program (your own business).

What kind of business are you in, if you don’t mind me asking.

Hey I am wondering how do you come up with a unique online business idea that will sell & make money? What sorts of businesses do people make?

Thanks,
Lindsey

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Lindsey,

As affiliate marketers, we don’t need to create our own product to sell. We promote other people’s products.

To know if it is profitable, you can either experience the marketing materials of the product and determine if it moves you to buy the product, or you can use real stats provided by the affiliate program or affiliate network.

There is really no restrictions to the sorts of business because affiliate marketing spans across so many other niches in the world. You just have to pick one niche and focus on promoting one or a few good products.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!

Are there any costs associated wit the Starter/Free Membership, i.e. domain name?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Blake,

No. It is absolutely free for as long as you need.

But, I just wanted to share with you the difference.

A free trial is to help you understand what you are getting into before signing up to the premium membership.

Of course the knowledge is limited, and you can’t really go far. If you want to learn everything there is about online marketing or affiliate marketing, the premium membership unlocks everything, and there is no upsells or any other cost involved, other than owning your own domain name which cost $13 per year.

That’s the least amount of money required to build your online business. I can’t find anything that is cheaper and has the same level of quality training on the internet.

    Cheers!

Hey Jack – thank you for this article. It’s helpful to see. Actually I found your page, because I started with SFM and then Google showed me your article on them as a result. So I got curious.

I really plan to make some changes – but don’t wanna end up in a pyramid thing. And yes, I was kinda doubtful with SFM from the beginning. I don’t just wanna end up marketing their thing – I wanna have my own – and I’m not sure, if I get enough support there.

So a question I have, just because it didn’t jump into my eyes – does this Wealthy Affiliate Program also include knowledge about list-building? Because this is what i get so far – I should build a following by providing some kinda value to people that click on ads that I place on the internet.. I know – you can’t explain everything – but my question is – do you think I find “everything” here kinda “step-by-step”. Seen that you don’t call SFM a SCAM leaves me unsure, if I should go on a while – and just stay cirtical. What’s your opinion?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Daniekunz,

    Thank you for your comment!

Wealthy Affiliate has a wide range of training materials. Everything you want to know about online marketing, they have it.

Basically, there are 2 step by step courses that will help you build your digital asset (your website), as well as giving you a set of guideline that will help you run your online business.

Anything out of the 2 step by step course, like list building, branding, facebook marketing, etc, are found in the weekly webinar training vault.

So the strategy with Wealthy Affiliate is for you to go through the step by step modules first to be able to stand on your own feet. And, the rest of the more advance stuff, you’ll basically know what to do after watching those weekly webinars.

Does this answer your questions? Maybe you can try joining the Wealthy Affiliate free trial here and have a firsthand experience on what you are about to get into, before you decide to join the premium membership.

    Cheers!

Emmeline - Reply

Hello Jack,

My name is Emmeline. I am 28 years old. I live in California working as a receptionist and am living with my family of 5 in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house because I cannot support myself on my income, despite my job being full time. I have an AA degree and have been acting/singing in theatre since I was a kid. I currently do community theatre and stand up comedy alongside my job. But I do not often make money from it, I do it because I love it.

I suppose my questions are threefold: 1) Are there niches pertaining to the performing arts? 2) Do you believe a right-brained person can really learn the logistics of affiliate marketing enough to turn it into primary income? 3) Due to my lack of finances, could I start with learning in the free program and upgrade to the premium when I can better afford it?

Thanks!
Emmeline

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Emmeline,

    Thank you for your comment!

    1) There are niches around comedy, but I am not sure if it is profitable. I can share with you the steps to select a profitable niche if you’d like.
    2) Yes. Absolutely! Anyone who has learning capabilities can do it.
    3) Unfortunately, the free trial gives you an overview of what you are getting into. The meat of the program is in the premium membership. Let me justify why the premium membership is worth the money.

Why Wealthy Affiliate Premium Membership is Worth it…

    1) Complimentary Web Hosting – This could easily cost you $20 to $100 per month to start and host a website.
    2) Complimentary Keyword Research tool – This is a tool that every Internet marketer needs. It can easily cost another $20 to $80 per month.
    3) Huge and active community – There’s no other places on the internet that has such a strong community
    4) My personal support – Only if you join through this link.

So, to summarize, the premium membership cost is already paying for itself for the necessary tools (1) & (2) that you will get elsewhere.

I hope this lets you have a clear picture of what Wealthy Affiliate is all about.

    Cheers!

Hi Jack,
Does WA allow the WordPress integration with it?
I am planning to create some free technical content blog for chip design professionals.
As WA allows website hosting, I am planning to use that for my technical blog.

Also, please can you give your opinion on if such a content can be leveraged for WA affiliate marketing?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Chandra,

Yes, if you host your website in WA, it installs wordpress for your website. WordPress is the only platform that WA supports.

You can definitely use it for your technical blog.

In terms of affiliate marketing, you can definitely leverage it. But, it really depends on your niche, does the chip design niche has any affiliate programs? This is something you need to research on. But, if you are saying to promote Wealthy Affiliate on your technical blog, then maybe it is not such a good idea because they are not relevant to each other.

Does this answer your question? Feel free to let me know if you need more clarification.

    Cheers!

Thanks for answering my question Jack.
I would like to ask one more question.
Considering I am a first timer in digital marketing, don’t have any idea of making YouTube videos, writing blogs or any SEO stuff, which affiliate program should I join? OSP, legendary marketer, or WA or anything else?
One thing, I have understood, is that until I create some way to drive traffic to my sales funnels, nothing will pay off.

        Jack Cao - Reply

        Hey Chandra,

Yes, your understanding is true. Before you ever make any money, you need to build web properties that will drive organic traffic to your offers.

I would definitely advise that you start with Wealthy Affiliate, because it covers a wide range of topics in a concise and step by step manner.

        Hope this helps.

Of course! WA hosting platform works just like any other hosting platform.

If you decide to leave WA (given that you’ve bought the domain name, and its not the free one), you can transfer the domain name and hosting to other service providers within a period of one month.

But, I’ll just let you know that I never left WA hosting platform because of the ease of use. You’ll probably have a steep learning curve if you venture out to host a website somewhere else, like Hostgater, Bluehost, etc. I’ve tried that and it isn’t really that simple as most would claim.

Have you joined the WA free trial membership yet? If you haven’t you can join through this link. I do provide personal support to people who join through my affiliate link.
    Hope this helps.

Jack, my hat is off to you for your online success. I had heard about Wealthy Affiliate a few years ago, but never pursued it due to the need for more immediate income at the time. I had forgotten all about it until I recently became interested in affiliate marketing again. After finding a few scammers in the space, I came across Wealthy Affiliate again. Right away, I knew WA was the real deal and a great choice, so I proceeded to give it a test drive by signing up for the free account. I totally expected to upgrade quickly, but wanted to have a look around to be absolutely sure before upgrading to a premium account. After signing in, I was shocked to read the following statement on the next page, “Free Starter accounts are not available in your country, but we would love to have you as a Premium Member!”. Please understand that I am not sharing this to trash WA in any way, but I feel that others should be aware that there are exceptions to the free trial. I am an American who happens to be traveling abroad, so unfortunately due to geo-tracking, the country I am currently visiting is being blocked from their free trial offer. I’m not a “Cheap Charlie” and not just looking for freebies, but this experience has caused me to reconsider whether I should join WA as a premium paid member without trying it before I buy it. It should also be noted that I was brought to the checkout page to pay first and the only option I was given was the annual payment @ $359.

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Mark,

The reason is due to the frequency of frauds in those country, and that’s why the free trial is not available to them.

This is a measure taken by Kyle and Carson to ensure that members do not take advantage of the free trials.

So sorry you have to experience this, and I hope this does not stop you from becoming a member of Wealthy Affiliate because I know it is truly a worthy program.

    Cheers!

    Hey Vidhi,

There are many musicians in Wealthy Affiliate. I am personally coaching one as well.

It is definitely a lucrative niche to be in, and Wealthy Affiliate does teach you how to set up that business.

I do not recommend SFM because you’d probably spend more money than making any.

If you’d like me to coach you as well, you can join Wealthy Affiliate through my affiliate link.

Hi Jack, firstly, congratulations on your success. I’ve been trying to start an online business since 2014. I searched the net back then and came across WA and I think I joined the free start, but not knowing what I was doing, and with little patience, I soon moved away from that. I do remember you Jack back then when you started… The past couple of weeks, I’ve been receiving emails from SFM and was about to join up this morning. I was doing a little more research and came upon this your review. Thank you Jack, as I’m not in financial position to invest in SFM and as I’m still a novice today I choose to take up the free training with WA as I would like to position myself for retirement in eight years to have a successful online business. See you on the inside Jack and bless you for your honesty and sharing.

do they teach you inside the programme how to generate the traffic? I have built websites and blogs in the past and learnt a little about affiliate marketing but have not been able to build up the traffic or ‘get in front of the right eyes’ . Also what kind of products do you sell? If you set up an amazon affiliate is it a case of chosing digital items that relate to your niche? I was so close to doing GAZ and so glad i read your article as they dont tell you about the thousands to buy the high pice ticket! So this one could be more my stream .

    Hi Alexandra,

Yes, Wealthy Affiliate does teach you how to get your offers in front of people online. They teach you how to build an online business from scratch without you spending money on paid advertising.

You can choose whatever niche you are interested in and build an online business. That’s what I like about Wealthy Affiliate, because it doesn’t restrict you to promoting just their program.

Hope this helps! And if you wish for me to coach and mentor you, you can join through this link.

Hi Jack,

The way I understand it, it is best to join WA if one has a business to promote. The business should ideally be one that he is passionate about or in line with his own interest. He can then use the knowledge and technology learned from WA to build a website concerning his product or service, drive traffic to the website and hopefully, generate sales from his visitors.

However, the problem with many prospective WA joiners is that they don’t have their own businesses or products/services to promote. I for one, at this point, could not think of a good business to promote.

I understand that WA has a built in solution to this — promote WA. That in itself is a business one can passionately dedicate himself to. This seems to be an excellent idea initially. But then we have to contend with the fact that there may be tens of thousands of WA affiliates who are in the same boat and who have nothing more to promote than WA itself. There is already a glut in this niche. That’s the reason why every time we do a search for product reviews, we almost ALWAYS end up with a product review done by a WA affiliate who is reviewing the product as a way to lead the visitor to joining WA as the better alternative to the business or product the visitor is researching on.

Of course you can say, well just compete. That’s the essence or free enterprise. But then, realistically, what are the chances of still succeeding in this WA promotion niche? There are already a lot of veterans way, way ahead — like YOU. For a newbie appreciating how excellently you have developed your promotion site, it looks like a very tall order to come up with something better and competitive. And mind you, you are not the only excellent site around promoting WA.

Chances are, if we promote WA the possibility of failure will be great. The possibility of succeeding if you promote your own product/service is greater. But then, it’s an equally tall order to think of your own business or product to promote.

For most of us in this category, it’s a catch-22 thing.

What’s your take on this? What do you advise?

Thanks.

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Jimmy,

    Thanks for your comment!

The competition is stiff, I have no doubt about that. This was the problem years ago, and it is still a problem now.

Back then when I first started, there were thousands of WA affiliates, but I didn’t care. I found my unique angle of WA promotion, and I succeeded.

Another example I would like to give is Jerry. He started a website promoting WA in January 2018. Now, in June, he posted an update which claimed that he made quite a good amount of money with Wealthy Affiliate. The competition is super high at this point, but he still managed to get through with it.

Why? It’s the consistency. He write articles every single day, and he post 4 to 5 articles per week.
Many times we are afraid of competition, cost, hard work, etc, but those in my opinion are excuses to justify your reason not to start anything. I understand, it is scary to go against the odds, but if you are too afraid of taking the first step and following through with it, you can never find success.

Whether it is in the make money online niche or whatever niches, the competition is there. If you are too worried about wasting your time and effort to build an online business, you should not be in this business in the first place.

People who are successful in affiliate marketing did not find success immediately. They always find ways to better themselves as a marketer, that will eventually lead them to success.

I hope you can get through the negativity, and start working on something that is worthwhile in a long run.

    Cheers!

Hello! So this may have already been answered/asked and I missed it. If so, sorry! Do you have to purchase the products you are selling before the demand is there? For example, I start my website and all for sports gear. I have no product or customers yet. In order to get started, I have to buy 200+ items of sportswear to stock and supply my web business and then try to sell those items.

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Marie,

This is the beauty of Affiliate Marketing.

There is no inventory to manage, no logistics to handle, and you don’t need to purchase products upfront in order to earn a commission.

You just need to join an affiliate program (like Amazon Affiliate program) and they will provide you with an unique affiliate link.

Post that affiliate link on your website or which ever place that you are promoting the product. When someone clicks on the link, it will brig them to Amazon (for example), and when they buy something from Amazon, you get paid a commission.

    It is simple as that.

I hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask me anything else.

    Cheers!

Will I have a well looking web page? Can a I see your best selling web page that you’ve got hosted inside Wealthy affilliate? Thanks in advance, If I see that my page will look great, I will gladly join WA from your link.

    Hi Laura,

    Thank you for your comment!

Yes, you will build a nice looking website. Yes, you are going to sell products.

But, you’ve missed the most important point, which is to build an authority site that people in your niche will trust and respect.

Which means that WA teaches you how to build your personal brand where the people in your niche will buy products that you promote, trust every word that you say because you are an expert.

I know this may be far fetched, but WA provides you with the structure to build your business one step at a time to eventually strive to become an authority in your niche.

The very website you are looking at is the best example of what WA teaches. This website has become an authority in the online opportunity industry.

Feel free to ask me any questions if you are still in doubt.

Hi Jack, thank you for this information. I was just about to click on the SFM programme, which looked really good to me, but I was wondering what the Digital Business Lounge and Digital Experts Academy would cost. From what I read in your information about them, it would cost me too much money to progress. Is Wealthy Affiliate your own business or are you just recommending it? Also, SFM say you actually get someone to talk to, which impressed me, but I wouldn’t want to wait two weeks when I had a question. Look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Sue,

Wealthy Affiliate is not my own program. It is founded by my mentors, Kyle and Carson. Because their program led me to build a lucrative business and allowed me to fire my boss and work full time online, that’s why I am promoting it.

Here’s my story if you are interested: How this guy fired his boss and work full-time online

Yes, you will be assigned a coach in SFM, but they are more like a sales person trying to get you to buy their high-ticket products. That’s my own experience as well as hearing from some other ex-members.

In Wealthy Affiliate, if you have a question, you get answer almost immediately. Wealthy Affiliate is not dictated by a guru, but it is actually a community.

There are people who has more experience, like me, as well as people who total newbies. The thing that I like about the community is that we help each other out.

That’s why questions get answered fairly quickly.

If I find a legitimate program, I will promote it unconditionally, just click on the “Legitimate” above, and you’ll know which are the ones I think are worth your time.

Hello Jack. I trust all is well with you. Please help me with a question I have. I would like to join wealthy affiliate after reading about your experiences with said company. I am new and know nothing about this business venture. I think, if I am correct being an affiliate is you are selling something on-line to the on-line public. And then you receive a commission for your sale. What I would like to know is after joining WA and studying their programs, you are set up and ready to go, where do you go to find products to promote and sell? And how do you know what products to promote? Is it like guessing , such as I think this product sounds like it ought to sell well and so on… please answer this one question. T hanks Jack. Have a good day I reside in Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA.

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Mark,

The first step to build an affiliate business is to identify what niche you are into.

It could be a niche that solves a problem, or it could be a niche based on your passion. With that angle, you find products or solutions that will help the people in your niche.

Obviously, it would be better if you have personally tried the product or solution and you recommend it based on your own experience.

But sometimes, due to financial constraints, you are not able to buy the product yourself. In such a case, you can recommend the product based on the many positive reviews you can find on the internet about the product, and form your own opinion.

Affiliate marketing is simply the “word of mouth” in the digital world. And the good thing about this is that you can amplify your opinion to whoever that is search for a solution in your niche.

    Hope this helps.

Let me know if it is unclear.

Hi Jack, I want to join this course and I will but I want to ask you something first:
Is it true that Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing drop in profits every year the last years?
This is what an Internet Marketer that makes 10k per month told me and he also told me that actually I need to invest in paid traffic a lot of money (about 10k) to see results fast…

    Hi Kon,

For the past 3 years, I see my income increasing every year, and I don’t spend a single cent on gaining traffic.

I am not sure what that internet marketer is doing, but he do not represent the entire industry. Maybe the reason that he sees decreasing profits is because he is gunning for quick affiliate profits, but in Wealthy Affiliate, we strive to build a business that will last.

My advice is to be unique, don’t just follow the training blindly, brainstorm of the message(s) you want to send to the people who visits your website, and make sure that the user experience (UX) reciprocate with your intentions.

Hi Jack! Just wondering if you can advise abit about the process about the course. While I understand there is alot of online process, technique and marketing that goes into an online business, my biggest issue is I just have no clue on what to run! I don’tk now my niche? I love investing – shares, equities, everything, but I am by far not a guru that I can setup a coaching style online business like those ‘rich dudes’ you see selling training courses online whiel worknig on their laptop in bali.

So it begs the question – I would love to work from a laptop anywhere in the world with good internet , but how on earth do I get started when I have no business idea? I feel lost as all my life i’ve been an accountant but pretty ‘clued up’. I love ‘hustling’ – buying and reselling stuff i find on the cheap, and I always felt an entrepreneurial streak as I love burning the midnight oil when it’s my own work. I’m real sick of the corporate life and am about to finish up at my job after being ‘shafted’ on the probation period (told i was great, good, then suddenly now it was extended and i’m terrible, don’t fit in etc. etc). I really just want to shove it at life and work for myself but what always holds me back isn’t so much going for a course or learning how to do things – but I just don’t know what idea/niche I want to pursue! I just have confidence and am curious about my entrepreneurial streak and ability to push forward – except I don’t have a guiding idea or business/niche in mind? Any advice/help? I haven’t seen your online business yet, so I am not sure what your online business sells – but I arrived here when googling your direct wines review on scams… again another attempt at seeing if I could ‘work for myself’. but alas another one of those get rich quick schemes that get rich off your back more like it.

Would love any help! Am Australia based, so reasonably close FYI – hi! 🙂

    Hey Warren,

    Thank you for your comment!

Wealthy Affiliate is built specifically for beginners, which means that it will guide you through selecting a niche and building an online business from scratch. The training is well structured so you won’t feel stuck or overwhelmed. You don’t have to worry a bit about not having a niche or any experience, because the course will guide you through it.

I got the same feeling as you when I was working in the corporate world. Overworked, underpaid, and unappreciated. If I work any longer in the corporate world, I’d probably go through the same ordeal as you, “being told that you are redundant”.

I realise that I am not one who would work for someone else forever and that’s why I’ve decided to Do something about my own future.

So, if you really want to get away from the corporate world, my suggestion is for you to join WA and learn how to build your own online business from scratch.

I’ll be honest with you, WA is a great course that teaches everything you need to be successful online, but it is not a guarantee, there are still a great number of people who fail from this. I’ve shared all the reasons for failure here:

I was a member of Wealthy Affiliate for 2 years but ended up without any sales and no website. Wealthy Affiliate does not let you transfer your website to any other Web Hosting sites. All my hard work in building my website gone down the drain because WA didn’t let me transfer my website to another Hosting company.
WA members are there only to promote their own website, if you are a good salesman you might be successful in WA. My experience has been bad in WA since I am not good at Selling.

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Aparajit,

Thank you for sharing your experience!

Firstly, maybe you didn’t do your part to find information on how you can transfer your website. It doesn’t magically happen.

Once you’ve cancelled your account with Wealthy Affiliate, you still have 30 days to transfer your website to another service provider. If you missed that window, you’ll have to continue with your premium membership to get everything activated again. I am certain that your work is still saved in the WA hosting platform, and if you become a premium member again, you can retrieve the information. This process is just like any hosting platform, you have to keep the service running for your website to be active.

WA members do not necessarily need to promote Wealthy Affiliate, they are taught to promote any kind of products online, and NO you don’t need to be a good salesman. I’m definitely not one, but I still managed to find success.

In fact, I’ve escaped MLM to WA because I can’t sell!

I’m assuming that you didn’t complete the courses entirely, and you’ve been doing things on your own, and not seeking help in the community, and when you didn’t achieve any success you cried foul.

I’ll be brutally honest with you, whatever programs or opportunities that you decide to join, if you don’t follow through with it, you’ll never succeed.

To become successful online, you need to overcome adversities.

Sad to say, when people don’t see results after weeks or months, and their bills get piled up, the majority of them will quit.

It is only the minority group of people who will head out to find solutions to their problems, and stick with their online business (like their life depends on it), until they find success.

So, what I recommend you do is to find a program and stick with it (even if it is not Wealthy Affiliate).

Wealthy Affiliate has created thousands of success stories online, and what you learn in here do actually work, but that’s if you follow through.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience.

    Cheers!

Hi Jack.

I read your review and I want to join the Program .But I’m from Bangladesh and I clicked on the special link you gave in the article which took me to WA page where it said $19 for the first month ,but when I went to pay ,it’s saying Free starter accounts are not available but showing $49 for premium membership. wasn’t I supposed to pay $19 for my first month for clicking through your link?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Tazim,

Unfortunately, people in your country are not entitled to the discounted price. I’m so sorry that this happen, but the owners of Wealthy Affiliate have made it this way to protect the program.

They didn’t do it intentionally, but because there are a lot of fraudulent activities from your country that WA have experienced in the past.

I hope this didn’t hinder your decision to join the program, because everyone else does pay the same price as you on their second month onward.

This could be the platform that finally help you earn your first dollar online, just as it did for thousands of people, including me. I hope it can happen to you as well.

Jack, what is “Own Domain Name”? How much does it cost, and when are members required to purchase it? Can members be successful in the program without their ‘own domain name’?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Cassandra,

Own Domain Name means a website that you own. For example, barenakedscam.com is a domain that I own.

It cost $13 per year (in WA) to own a domain name, and it is definitely recommended for you to own one if you are in this for a long haul.

I wouldn’t say you can’t be successful with a free domain, for example barenakedscam.siterubix.com, but having a personal domain will definitely help with branding and makes it more credible, plus there’s no restriction on the design if its your own domain. Free domains have certain restrictions in terms of the customization of the look and feel of the website.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers!

I have been doing research on how to make money online during the last few months. I have come accross a few of the programs you review here. My concern is this: I am from South Africa, alot of these programs operate overseas. How will that impact the payment, importing, delivery etc of the affiliate products?

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Lizel,

I think you’ve mixed eCommerce with Affiliate Marketing.

With Affiliate Marketing, everything happen online, and you don’t need to worry about inventory or fulfilling of orders.

All you do is to help promote products of other companies, and they will pay you when there is a successful sale.

The orders and shipment is taken care of by the company.

Most affiliate programs that I know of pays by Paypal. If you are able to create a Paypal account, you can participate in this.

I hope this clarifies. Please let me know if its not clear.

As an affiliate marketer, you help product owners who has an affiliate program to sell their products. Basically, you sign up to their affiliate program, and they will provide you with your affiliate link. Once you have that link, you can place it on your website, social media or wherever. As Long as you are speaking to the right audience, people who are in your niche (people who are interested in what you promote), and they buy a product through your affiliate link, you will earn a commission.

I truly believe WA can lead you to success with affiliate marketing. WA has lead thousands of individuals including me to earn a living online, and I hope it can lead you to that path too.

If you haven’t take advantage of the free trial membership yet, I would recommend that you join WA here. You will get a good understanding of what WA is.

Hi Jack,

I am very interested WA. I wanted to know if one would choose a specific direction, industry or product line (such as: just for a generalized “bad” example,, i. e. household cleaning products and/or housewares) Can you give me a more specific idea if it’s structured like that or are there specific WA products or classifications one would market.

Basically I just want to get a better idea of what types of actual, specific products one would be marketing,, like what actual tangible products as opposed to more broad, vague general. classifications or product ranges such as for example health & wellness.

I get a bit weary/careful when approached with opportunities that talk mostly about the business structures or concepts without knowing specifically what types of products one would actually be marketing??

Can you shed some more specific light on the opportunity?

Thank you for your kind attention,

Carl

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Carl,

I can’t give you a specific direction because there are really too many products on the internet to promote.

Wealthy Affiliate is not here to spoon feed but to provide guidance so that you will find your direction.

In any kind of affiliate business, you have to find a specific niche and become an authority in that niche, and WA will guide you to that direction. WA will not tell you specifically what niche to enter, you’ll have to make the decision yourself.

Plus, there’s really a lot to cover for your question, and I can’t pen everything down here. I suggest that you join the free starter membership as it will give you the answers that you seek for.

    I hope this helps.

Good day Jack

Thank you for the feed back.

You then need to be able to offer advice or opinions on various products? Do you need to buy the products to be able to write a review on it or can you make use of other reviews ton the internet o rate the product.

Setting up a plat form or table of various products used for the same purpose and showing out the pro’s and cons and giving your opinion which is the best. And then a link each product to either Amazon or ebay to be able to purchase the product?

Then when the person click on the link you get recognition for the click?
Do you need to register with online sellers first before you will get commission or how is the commission earned?

Thank you
Gerhard

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Gerhard,

Its recommended that you promote products that you personally own, but even if you don’t that’s fine as well because you can leverage on other people’s experiences.

What you have said regarding the “Platform” or “Table” is half right. There are a lot more to just providing a review on specific products. I can’t cover every thing here, but I’ll just say that it is the back end follow up with your leads that will get you the sales. You’ll learn more when you join Wealthy Affiliate.

When someone clicks on your affiliate link, and when they buy something, you will earn the commission.

You’ll need to register for an affiliate account with the merchant in order to earn. The merchant will pay you the commission for referring people to their website.

I’m new to Wealth Affiliate. Just want to know how exactly it works. Example.

You create a web site selling a product, camera’s TV’s or what ever product you familiar with.
Then you advertise your website via Facebook Instagram and promoting it on search engines to get clicks.
Then earn commission for every click you get or get commission on deals that you responsible for.
Joining My Wealthy Affiliate helps to set up a website to be able to earn the commission and how to promote and advertise your website to get the best results?

Am i’m on the right track or missing something somewhere?

Thank you

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Gerhard,

You are getting pieces right, but maybe your direction is a little off.

Affiliate marketing is connecting the right audience to the right products. It’s sort of the “word of mouth” in modern days.

You don’t create a website to sell products, you create one to share your experience about a product, and recommend a suitable product to your audience.

As long as your audience feel that they have benefited from your advice, they will eventually buy the product through your affiliate link.

Wealthy Affiliate is a place where it provides a structured way to teach you how to become a great affiliate marketer.

    I hope this explains.

Hi Jack, thanks for your write-up and review on WA. I’m keen to start on the free starter membership to learn more and likely to upgrade to the annual premium membership. I would greatly appreciate if you could provide some of my queries below:

1. How are the lessons for the module conducted – platform using Skype or any others?

2. How long is the training for module 1 – 10 lessons and duration for each lesson?

3. Is the training held every Friday and/or what time is it normally held?

4. In upgrading to the annual premium membership and getting 50 lessons altogether, does it take a year to complete all the lessons (if once every week) or shorter, as attending the lessons are dependent on my own time?

Thanks.

    1. The courses are conducted in a structured manner. There are approxiamtely 10 lessons in each module, and in each lesson there are tasks to be completed. There are video training as well as written content.
    2. It really depends because each module and lesson varies. Some lessons go super in-depth which will take you an hour to complete, and some training takes you half an hour.
    3. There is a live training held every Friday, and every live training is recorded. WA premium membership will be able to access all recordings.
    4. Yes, you do it at your pace.

Hi Jack,

Thank you for your input and honest comments on this system, it is of great help to think about it. I’m exploring building an online business and it seems to me, a lot of the success depends on really being able to generate qualified traffic to your opt-in page to build a subscribers list to begin with. For some reason, this aspect of the business is somewhat skipped through and not much information is given about it.

Would you say there is valuable and practical information in this program for generating real qualified traffic that is not just about paid traffic?

Thank you for your care!

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Alejandro,

    Thank you for your comment!

Like you said, the “secret formula” to success online is to drive qualified traffic to quality product.

And, most, if not all other programs, focused on teaching the “paid traffic” method.

In Wealthy Affiliate, its a little different though.

The main focus is to get “organic Traffic”, in other words,”Free Traffic”.

But, I have to say, there’s always a trade off when the word “FREE” comes into play.

To get “FREE” traffic, you have to spend a lot of time building reputation and credibility, and it really takes time to succeed with this method.

But, I can guarantee that the stuff that you learn in Wealthy Affiliate are the foundation to everything that is happening in the online business industry.

That’s why I always recommend people to learn how to drive “free traffic” before getting into “paid traffic”.

    I hope this helps Alejandro!

    Hi Karen,

This is where I will put a distinction between Wealthy Affiliate and Inbox Blueprint.

Inbox Blueprint do provide numerous articles for you to use, but if you do not learn the ropes of copywriting (or even use the articles blindly), you’ll fail in this business. Those templates are meant to be a guide, and not to be used without thought.

Being successful in copywriting is tough and to begin with, many people don’t even write, and that is why I recommend that you join Wealthy Affiliate first.

Wealthy Affiliate is a step by step course that is suitable for anyone who wants to earn money online. It guides you step by step to write, structure and beautify your content for Search Engine purposes as well as for readers.

When you achieve results with Wealthy Affiliate, it wouldn’t be too late to learn from Inbox Blueprint because it compliments your Internet Marketing knowledge.

I hope this answers your question.

I have no clue on how to build awebsight.
I’m still debating on weather to join or not? I’m a member of MOBE and only made a couple of dollars. But wasted more money on marketing.
I guess I’m scared of trying out another program.

    Jack Cao - Reply

In my opinion, MOBE is a super expensive product that brings you to no where as a beginner. People who have prior internet marketing knowledge can make a lot of money with that though.

The way I see it, there are 2 paths to be successful online through affiliate marketing:

Path #1: To build an authority site in a specific niche. Basically, you are building an entire online business from scratch, so you’ll learn a lot about Internet Marketing, and why people will take action on the products you promote. However, this path is long and tough, and a lot of people quit because they didn’t see the results that they want, even though they have put in a lot of effort for months. If you choose this path, you will not expect to see any results in the first 3 – 6 months, and you have to put in a lot of effort to it. The financial risk is not that much, but the time and effort will be wasted if you give up.

Path #2: To leverage on a business that is already setup, just like MOBE. These programs offer you a license to promote their products when you buy them, and you can potentially earn a lot of money when someone signs up through your affiliate link. To make money with them, you’ll only need to drive high quality traffic to their business, and the business will take care of everything. Problem is, as a beginner, you will not know how to attract the right traffic, and that’s where most people fail (because they don’t have the fundamental knowledge about Internet Marketing). That is why I always recommend to start from Path #1, because you will learn the entire game of Internet Marketing from ground up.

I’ve laid the cards on the table, and the decision is yours to make. If you decide to join Wealthy Affiliate, you can click here.

I hope this helps you out.

Hi Jack
I have read through WA, but I really don’t understand how to make money with WA online.

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi JJ,

Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to be an affiliate marketer.

The affiliate marketing concept is really quite simple. Here’s a video that explains the affiliate marketing model in 2 minutes:

    https://vimeo.com/user28319877/affiliate-marketing-explained-in-2-minutes

Affiliate marketing is a spin off from the traditional word of mouth concept, however, it is all done online. You join a company that has an affiliate program and you promote their products by sharing a link on either your website or social media, and when people buy the product through your affiliate link, you earn a commission.

However, it is not that easy. You can’t just start posting links everywhere and expect people to buy. That’s where Wealthy Affiliate comes in. It teaches you the ins and outs of becoming a successful affiliate marketer.

Hope this helps JJ. Feel free to ask me any further questions.

    Cheers!

hello, I’m someone who just so happen to join the six figure mentors, but only made it to the beginner series. I was a little taken aback by the instant pressure to upgrade for the 297.00 membership as soon as I paid the 29.95 entry fee.

Now that I’ve read your article, it appears that what you’ve written makes since. I’m a truck driver, who’s just trying to make something different of his life. What makes you any different ? How can I be sure that you’ll offer the same support that SFM claims to provide, but for less money ? Hi Jack,

Thank you for the article! You really provided a fair explanation of how Wealthy Affiliate works. Since this is simply a guide on how to successfully create and run your online business, am I allowed to cancel my membership after a period of time? I know that you said that there’s no limitation to cancelling my subscription, but what would be the benefit to continuing as a member even after I have learned all I needed and I’m successful in my business? What will I be losing if I opted to cancel after I’ve been successful? I’m just trying to learn if they (the founders of Wealthy Affiliate) expect people to pay the monthly or yearly fee forever or until they’ve acquired the success they desire. I look forward to your response!

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Gloria,

One thing for certain, the internet marketing world changes on a daily basis, and if you are in this industry where you want to make money online, you have to constantly upgrade your knowledge.

On top of the step-by-step training courses, Wealthy Affiliate also provides weekly training on all the up-to-date knowledge so that you can implement it to your website.

Of course when you have some success, you can get out of Wealthy Affiliate for a while, and if you are provision enough, you will be able to find resources elsewhere to keep yourself up to date.

    I hope this helps.

I will still end up using other paid websites or services we need to create Promotions and promote our Products, But My REALY BIG QUESTION and I have searched everywhere For HOURS after HOURS, are you going to teach on how to generate Traffic and where to get it from, because everybody is talking about how you do it, find a product get traffic and get paid like it magically happens which I am curtain That the way most People explain it is just not true, so I am really hoping that your Program is actually teaching us all ins and outs, on how it works and how to do it and were to go,

I think I understand the principal of online Marketing, I just really don’t understand how and where to get traffic from, and How all the inside work

I hope you can clear things up for me and I really hope your Course is finally what makes me understand Online Marketing

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Riccardo,

    Thanks for your comment!

Let me break down the cost for you:

Domain Name: Approximately $10 per year
Web Hosting: $0 (inclusive in premium – normally cost around $10 – $30 per month)
Keyword tool: $0 (inclusive in premium – normally cost around $20 – $90 per month)

That’s the basic cost you need to run an affiliate site. Of course there will be more tools that you’ll use when you get to an advance stage, but the above is the bare minimum.

In terms of the generating traffic, WA will teach you from A to Z. SEO to Social Media Marketing to paid advertising, etc. I can guarantee that if you follow the courses closely, you will become an advanced online marketer.

I know it because I’ve went through that process and am still learning from it.

I’m from India and wanted to check that are there any implications in terms of getting the earning in Indian bank accounts or any tax implications on the earned amount. How is the payment received?

Also do you know if there are any Indian company doing something similar and dealing in Indian currency.

    Hey Piyush,

Unfortunately, I am not acquainted with Indian Tax law, so I am not able to advice you on this. But, I would presume that if you earn income from affiliate marketing, your profit from the business will be tax under your personal income. That is unless you create a company to run the operation, then it will be subject to corporate tax, and the dividends receive from the company will be subject to your local personal tax.

Sorry I can’t help more on this.

Hi Jack, what do moderately successful people make, on average, with wealthy affiliate? Would it be like $2000 a month, full-time? Also, what happens if you stop paying the yearly membership? Do you get cut off of commissions or of a domain?

Also, if the program teaches you how to make money with youtube?

thank you

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Isabelle,

A moderately successful person in WA makes a full time income of between $2,000 to $3,000 per month, I guess. But it would take a lot of time and effort in the initial stage to get to that level of income, and there is no guarantee.

You can either downgrade your membership from yearly to monthly, and even if you cancel your membership, you will still get commission when you refer people to WA (however, the commission amount is halved).

In regard to the domain, if it is purchased, you can transfer the web hosting of the domain to another service provider within 7 days. The web hosting package is only meant for premium members, and if you cancel your premium membership, you would have to find an alternative.

WA is an one-stop shop for Internet Marketing knowledge. It covers many topics, including getting ranked on youtube. But it is not as comprehensive as to helping you select the best camera to use or the best mic to use, etc. It is more on teaching you how to get ranked on youtube.

Hope this helps. If you haven’t joined the WA Free Starter Membership, you can join here.

It seems part of the monthly fee provides hosting so will my fee be reduced? Also, I’m coming from AWOL Academy. I purchased AWOL’s first program to get started and learned a lot but I have been turned off by the very strong sales pitch they use to get you to pay $10,000 to be an elite member. Can you provide a comparison of the value of the educational content between AWOL and WA?
Thank you!

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Kristin,

I believe whatever you can learn from AWOL, you can learn from Wealthy Affiliate.

The fee that you pay as a Wealthy Affiliate member is for the education and support, not for the web hosting. The web hosting is complimentary to all premium members.

To reduce your payment, you may consider transferring your current web host to WA when you sign up as a premium member. This will save you quite a bit on the monthly fees in general.

Honestly speaking, you do not need to pay an upscale amount to learn internet marketing.

Hello, I’m very interested in getting into the Dot.com world not to get Rich but hopefully to try and make a little supplemental income. I honestly don’t have a ton of money to spend and I’m pretty new to all of this. I was gonna do the Mobe thing but did my research and OH MY GOSH!!! they are asking for a lot of money for no guarantee return.. I understand nothing is guarante’d but for that system it’s not for people who live week to week like me…. I came across Wa on a review stating it was fairly inexpensive with a monthly membership charge.
I guess what my question is.? Besides the monthly membership payment what else is involved as far as paying out of pocket to become an affiliate online marketer.? What about Fee’s to post on social media sites? Fee for a domain name? Besides 47.00 a month am I looking at around 200 or 500 or a $1000.00 to get up and running after I finish the training and videos? I’m pretty gunho about wanting to do a start up business online. I’m always doing something online figured why not try to supplement my income and have my laptop and Kindle fire and iPhone work for me… If it’s possible can you give me some clarification on total investment before I go ahead and do this. And thank you for your honesty.. I know nothing is guarantee ‘d but I have the drive to try and make a dime or two…. Have a Great day…

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hey Rich,

Besides the premium membership, all you need is a domain name which cost between $10 – $20 per year. THAT’S ALL!

I was hooked on WA because of its honesty and it didn’t make any effort on upselling once you are in the program.

Once you’ve paid for the premium membership, you unlock everything within WA.

However, there is another product within WA called Jaaxy, a keyword tool, but you don’t actually need it if you can’t afford it. There is a WA keyword Tool that works similar to Jaaxy and it is complimentary with the premium membership.

Basically, the WA premium membership covers a lot of the miscellaneous costs such as:

    1. Web Hosting ($20 – $100 per month)
    2. SSL ($4.99 – $139 per year)
    3. Keyword Tool ($19 to $200 per month)

I personally think that it is a great deal given that you have lots of training and support from the WA community.

You can try Wealthy Affiliate for free here.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

Although he explains that the use of Jaaxy, a keyword tool that every affiliate marketer needs (its $19 per month on top of the WA membership), but you don’t actually need to have that because Wealthy Affiliate comes with its own WA Keyword Tool.

So, basically there are no upsells after premium.

Hi there.

I really got curious in Wealthy Affiliate. I see they have really good training program.
Based on your review you are able to make money with this program unlike many other people.
Can you advise what do you think works more in online business to get traffic as I am worried getting traffic will be hard.
Are these online paid ads in Google/Bing the way to get traffic or you think focusing on organic traffic is the way to make more faster sales?

Thanks,

Alex,

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for posting this question!

There are two ways to look at this:

There are many ways to get traffic, social media, search engines, guest blogging, etc. Generally, getting fast traffic is easy as long as you have the $$$.

But, getting consistent free traffic would require a lot of knowledge, skill, and work, and that is what Wealthy Affiliate teaches.

In terms of sales conversion, it depends on the type of traffic you are getting (cold, warm, hot).

Cold traffic are people who do not know what they want but are get browsing around for something interesting to pop up. This kind of traffic hardly convert into sales.

Warm traffic are people who know what they want but don’t know what kind of vehicle can bring them to their goal. They are looking for the vehicle, and if your online business’ sales engine is done properly, this kind of traffic will convert well.

And, for Hot traffic, I don’t need to say much. These are the people who will buy whatever that pops up to them because they already know what they want and where to get from.

All these are covered in modules of Wealthy Affiliate.

You can start your free starter membership here.

    Hi Liz,

There are many things that you can promote, and you don’t even need to own the product or service.

That is the beauty of affiliate marketing.

As you’ve mentioned, you are a writer, so your interest may be in writing? But what kind of writing? Novel? Copywriting?

The examples that I’ve mentioned above are niches, and each niche there are affiliate programs that you can promote.

Every successful sale made through your affiliate effort will be compensated with commission.

Wealthy Affiliate is set up for the purpose of teaching you how to build an affiliate business, but before that, it will teach you how to identify the niche that you want to get into.

You can check out the free starter membership, and you’ll understand more about it. Credit card or any form of payment details are not required for the trial.

    Cheers!

Hi there
Is it possible to generate an email list that I can use for my own business via WA ?

WA does not have such in-built email capture service at the moment. Normally WA members use services such as Aweber or Click Funnels to built an email list.

    Hope this helps!

Hey Jack,

I was lead to your website because I was invited to join Prime My Body, and after reading your review, I have decided it is best that I stay away from that for now.

This, however, does sound interesting. My question is when you say you can make money focusing on your passions and building a website around that, i am just wondering how that looks.
I am an acrobatic coach, and also an amateur photographer, and am interested in health and travel… the first place my mind goes is doing tutorial videos for health and acrobatics, but there is already so much of that online.

Could you give me a bare bones basic idea of what this might look like for me?

Thank you!

Grace

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hi Grace,

You do not necessarily need to sell your own info products. You can promote other info products related to health and acrobatics which has an affiliate program.

Generally, there are 2 things you can do:

    1. Promote other people’s products – Create a blog about health and acrobatics, and share useful information and direct people to a program that you believe in. This is called Affiliate Marketing.
    2. Create your own info product – Create a website to sell the info products.

For 1, the best place to learn how to be an affiliate marketer is Wealthy Affiliate.
For 2, I would suggest that you start by reading this book.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers!

Hey buddy. Maybe I missed where u might have mentioned whether you do this as your part time job or full time job. So I would love to know if you doing affiliate program as your part time job or full time. As I’m a full time student with loads of work at college and one year left to finish the course and move on to uni life. However, what would you recommend me about it whether it’s worth it if I start this as part time job or no. Although I joined affiliate program 2 years ago but I could not believe it whether it’s the right thing for me to do or no? so I quit.
Would appreciate your response buddy.

    Jack Cao - Reply

You can definitely start this as a part time job. Being an affiliate marketer is still my part time job, and honestly, the income that I’ve made as an affiliate marketer now supersedes my full time job. I am assessing whether I should quit my full time job and focus on my affiliate marketing business.

So, my answer to you is to be an affiliate marketer on a part time basis, and if you persist and breakthrough your first dollar online, I am pretty sure by the time you graduate, you may never need to work for anyone in your life. No promises though. 🙂

Hi Jack!

Thanks for the informative article! I’m just wondering since I signed up for some course in the past but they required more time time investment than I expected. As I have some other personals goals so I’m just wondering as you said it takes few weeks to get things up and running, but getting commission is different story. So what is required after having website done to get commission? and How long would that take? and how much time does it take to for regular maintenance? Thanks so much!

    Jack Cao - Reply

Everyone’s learning ability and execution is different, so I can’t give you a gauge. Some people take years to earn commission while some earn in their first month.

It boils down to your ability to get people to your website (traffic), and your ability to turn that traffic to sales (marketing skill).

    Hope this clarifies.

    Cheers!

Hi Jack, I really appreciated your in depth review of WA.
I was a member last year who canceled my membership after 3 months because I became impatient. I am considering coming back in with a different attitude and approach. That being said, I think I would like to come in under you as my sponsor. Would you get credit if I re-join under your link?
I included my email so please respond! Thanks Jack!

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for this, but I think the person who initially introduced you to WA will still earn the credit.

But I have no problems with that and I am happy to help you out whenever you need.

Hello Jack,

I once applied for this but quit it at some point when I realised that I have to pay to get something out of it, which in a way contradicts the advert that made me to join. But having read your story I feel motivated to go back to it.

Please do you know of any free online work where one can make some money from (even if not much) to use in paying for Wealth Affiliate monthly subscription as I have lost a lot of money online and I am scared to loose more?

Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    Hello,

You can try Swag Bucks but it takes a lot of time and you can’t make much.

Basically, if you really want to learn how to make money online, you have to pay for the education. I know you have lost a lot of money online, I did too. But, I took the leap of faith to trust Wealthy Affiliate and I never regretted. It has definitely changed my life and I hope you can too.

To whom it may concern:

I do believe I have tried this in the past, I may be mistaken. However, the more I read into WA the more I believe the site is the same.

In any case I wanted to try to Starter Members, so as not to risk any monies I did not have, but kept running into more and more offers of having to pay. I reached a point where I could not go further due to being asked to order more session requesting money.

Is there any way to avoid this and make money, regardless of time or knowing the marketing business? Or do others like myself have to get limited information and hope for the best?

    Jack Cao - Reply

Well Nancy, I hate to pop your bubble but there is no free lunch in this world.

The free starter membership is a trial, and it unlocks the 1st module of WA which consist of 10 video training and actionable steps.

If you want to learn more, you definitely have to upgrade. There is no gimmick here.

It is just like paying your school for education.

I am sure you can find many free education online, but from my knowledge, no one has become successful without proper guidance. Eventually, you need to learn from someone by paying them in order to be successful.

Hope this puts you into perspective.

Hi !
What if i already have a website and would like to use it for this business instead of creating a new one? Do i necessarily need your hosting? What if i have my own?

    Jack Cao - Reply

There are no obligations. WA provides Web Hosting as a complimentary to its premium membership. It is up to you whether you want to use the web host in WA.

If your current website provides you with the direction you need for your online business, then by all means, use it. There is no restriction to this as well.

Hello Mr Jack
I am from Jordan and I have a query
With you in the field of Alsushal Media, I ask you from the membership of 17 dollars What is the reason and how I collect the money from my work
How do I get money from my work with you? I am a graphic designer and I am currently a graphic designer in Jordan and I have plans for advertising campaigns

    Jack Cao - Reply

    Hmmm….

Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to be an affiliate marketer, and affiliate marketing is a business, not a job.

You upgrade your account to premium by paying that initial $19, and it unlocks all the training and tools you will need to build a successful business.

I guess what you are looking for is to promote your own product or service (Graphic Design Service). If this is the case, I would highly recommend you to read this book.

Which process is used, instead of having a gmail one. As for those who go for starter membership may they create an email with they business name too?
