Is LifeWave a scam?

Is LifeWave a scam? Is it true that LifeWave X39 is clinically proven to provide health benefits? It seemed to be true, there are research papers on the product!

But, the question is, when research is funded by corporate interest, how trustworthy can the research be?

The National Library of Medicine has conducted research to determine if an industry sponsorship has an influence over the research agenda, and it seems to be true.

They have concluded that corporate interests can drive research agendas away from questions that are most relevant to public health.

If you look carefully at the research papers, you will see the research was funded by the company.

And the phrase “clinically proven”, if you just Google it, you will know that it is merely a marketing term used by many advertisers without actual medical evidence.

Now, we are not saying that LifeWave is creating all these documents and catchphrases to legitimize its products when they don’t work.

We are saying that LifeWave products are nothing more than health supplements, and this is a fact.

This means that there will be 3 groups of people. People who used the products and:

  1. have a positive experience;
  2. have a bad experience (experienced side effects);
  3. felt nothing.

If you have read the customer reviews online, you will understand what we mean.

LifeWave Reviews: Are the products as good as they claim?

If you have read the reviews from, for example, Trustpilot, you would know that out of 49 reviews:

  • Bad experience (adverse side effects): 4
  • Didn’t work: 9
  • Positive experience: 36

This means 27% of the reviews are pointing towards bad experiences or no effects.

And out of the 73% who have given a thumbs up to the products, we can’t conclude how many are:

  • Placebo
  • Paid reviews
  • Genuine reviews

You may have heard of plenty of MLM companies out there. MLM companies like Amway, Herbalife, or Avon are no mere stranger to us.

These are huge MLM companies that have expanded far and wide. The barrier of entry is low, however, competition is high.

Many hopeful distributors would opt for a young MLM company for a better opportunity.

Some of the companies have great potential, some might just be a scam. You are about to find out whether this MLM company, LifeWave is a scam.

A new ‘wave’ is coming – everything about LifeWave

Enter LifeWave, a direct selling company that positioned itself in the health and wellness industry.

The company was founded by David Schmidt in the year 2004, currently based in California, United States.

He is also the current CEO of the company with 25 years of experience in business and product development field.

During his experience, he has owned different companies involving manufacturing and product development.

Fast forward 15 years, the company has grown tremendously well, expanded to over 100 countries.

Their annual global revenue reached $5 to $10 million annually. LifeWave was also accredited by the Direct Selling Association.

These achievements are great, and the company is legitimate, but it doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed a success with this opportunity.

In fact, more than 95% of the distributors fail in this opportunity and I’ll share with you the reasons as you read along.

This program has led me and thousands of people make a Life Changing income online. Find out how you can too!

LifeWave’s Product Range

Some people claimed that the products are amazing, some felt adverse reaction after using the products, while some felt no difference.

Who is telling the truth and who can you trust? The fact is that the products are not suitable for everyone.

The only way to know if it works for you is to try them yourself. You are the best judge for the products.

LifeWave focuses a certain line of product that mainly focuses on health and wellness category. Some of the categories are as follow:

1. WinFit

LifeWave-WinFit

  • WinFit Body Shaping System -$299.95

  • Resistance Bands (Large) – $44.95
  • WinFit Monthly Maintenance Kit – $149.95

2. Skincare

LifeWave-Skincare

Instead of going big with a vast range of skincare, LifeWave followed a niche line of facial products as shown in the following:

  • Alavida Nightly Restore Facial Crème – $99.95
  • Alavida Daily Refresh Facial Nectar – $79.95

LifeWave-Patches

Patch product has always been LifeWave’s flagship.

The patches offered by the company are claimed to be clinically proven to stimulate acupuncture points and improve the energy flow in the body.

These studies proved that it gave benefits like pain relief, sleep improvement, anti-aging and weight loss.

Some of the researches are shared on their website. They offer different types of patches that is priced at $89.95 each pack.

However, we can’t guarantee the integrity of the researches as they might have been funded by LifeWave.

An interesting article I’ve found to support my hunch above.

LifeWave Compensation Plan

Similar to most MLM compensation structure, it involves earning commission from the product sold to consumers.

It uses the umbrella structure with downline below you where you will absorb a portion of commission from their sales.

LifeWave is pretty ‘generous’ with their compensation structure.

You will get paid in not only 2 ways I mentioned above, but there are 5 different ways of which you can get paid.

1. Membership Application Fee

You will be required to pay for a membership fee in order to qualify as a distributor. There are a few affiliate membership tiers involved.

  • Starter – $25
  • Bronze – $99.95
  • Silver – $299
  • Gold – $499.95
  • Platinum – $999.95 and;
  • Diamond – $1499.95

Each tier offers different level of rewards and commission payout.

2. Product Commission

The distributors will earn direct commission from each product sold.

Products are sold at retail price.  Once a successful sale is made, LifeWave will send you the profit weekly.

The profit is the difference between the wholesale price (of which distributor entitled) and retail price.

3. Recruitment Commission

Should someone join as a downline, the distributor is entitled for a one-time commission.

The bonus is depending on the membership tier. For Bronze the payout is $15, Silver – $50, Gold – $100, Platinum – $150, and Diamond $200.

This shows that the higher your membership tier, the more payout you will get.

Obviously this is the reason LifeWave encourages distributors to promote to higher tiers.

In order to promote to another tier, distributor has to meet recruitment criteria. Higher tier also gets to enjoy higher product commission.

4. Binary Commission

LifeWave-MLM-Structure

Refer to the illustration above, LifeWave uses the umbrella structure to differentiate the tiers.

LifeWave designed what we called as the Binary Commission plan using this.

Illustration shows that Master Distributor has two direct downlines, Distributor A and Distributor B.

Commissions will be paid for every sale made by the team from Distributor A and B.

Should any of the two team achieved a target of 330 Group Volume (or combined effort), Master Distributor will earn $50 commission weekly.

5. Matching Bonus Commission

Through the umbrella structure, distributors with downline below them are entitled for matching bonus.

This matching bonus will be given if it meets the Group Volume criteria.

For the first level downline, distributor will earn 25% bonus, for second level downline – 20% bonus and for third level downline – 20% bonus.

Why 95% of the distributors fail?

We found out that some may not have done too well as a distributor, pushed the blame towards LifeWave.

There are a few reasons why these distributors fail to perform.

1. Did not approach the enough people

The common cause of failure is because distributors did not target the right people.

The law of average states that the more people we approach, the higher the chances of finding the right people.

Perhaps this involves consistency, tenacity and patience in finding the right people before giving up.

It is obvious that the distributors will face a ton of rejection, so for those who cannot stomach this kind humiliation will be the first to leave the business.

This program has led me and thousands of people make a Life Changing income online. Best of all, you won’t need to face Rejection!

2. Wrong way of communicating

Many failed distributors have used the wrong form of communication to attract attention.

They took advantage of social media, however what they did was merely sharing a post in public space, or aggressively blasted direct messages to social media friends.

In the social media world, more does not mean better. It requires one to target the RIGHT person.

It means sharing the message to a particular niche group.

Friends and family members in the distributor’s social circle may start unfriending when they find it a nuisance.

3. Insufficient New Leads

This is a problem that any kind of business owners will face.

Let’s face the fact, in order to succeed in any kind of business, it needs to have a constant flow of new prospects.

If you are only constrained to your social circle, in time, you will run out of prospects, and that’s where everything goes south.

If you are serious about making this opportunity a success, I would suggest that you find a LifeWave leader who is successful in finding new prospects online, and who would be willing to teach that trade for you.

4. Joining the Wrong Team

One of the most important factors that could lead to your success or failure lies in the team that you’ll be joining.

As you are still a novice in the business, you’ll need full support from your team members.

If you join a team who do not put your interest ahead of theirs, you are doomed for failure.

The problem with this opportunity is that the turnover rate for distributors are extremely high, and leaders are more inclined to find new recruits than to groom existing ones.

So, I would suggest that you do some due diligence on the team that you’ll be joining.

My Sincere Advice to You

LifeWave is a legitimate MLM company that provides you with a good business opportunity, however, this doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed a success.

The fact is, 95% of the people will lose their initial investment because they are uneducated on the requirements of this business.

There are many factors that can cause a distributor to fail in this business, and I’ve shared several main factors above.

If you still think this is an opportunity is something that you wish to dive into, great! I advise that you do some due diligence on the team that you’ll be joining, because they determine your success or failure.

Now, what if this business opportunity is not suitable for you? What’s next?

If you’ve read some of my previous reviews, you’ll know that I was a part of many MLM companies and didn’t achieve any success until I found this program (Not MLM).
