What is Traverus?
Traverus, aka Traverus Global, is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company that operates within the travel niche, much like World Ventures, APPI Travels, Zyn Travel and Book VIP.
But did you know that Traverus was popularly known before as Paycation?
So, you can simply say that Traverus is Paycation 2.0, and they were both founded by David Manning.
Company History
Traverus Global as a whole is not just a travel MLM company.
They also added two brand new departments, which are the Health and Wellness and Personal Empowerment.
However, since this Traverus review is initially inspired by the travel and vacation side of this company that is the Paycation, I will be focusing on the travel aspect all throughout. Okay?
Traverus Global is affiliated with XStream, another company in the travel niche which is also owned by David.
XStream is the company responsible for training Traverus members to become professional travel agents, while the Traverus Go handles the travel side of things.
Traverus Global Products
Traverus Go offers wholesale prices on travel and vacation deals to the public. The company claims that when you buy travel packages from them…
You will be able to save as much as $1,000 or more when compared to buying them at Expedia or Priceline.

Good Things About Traverus
There might be people spreading rumors about a Traverus scam going on; I did find good things about this travel MLM company.
#1 Save Money
Though I list this among the good things about Traverus, I want to point out that this benefit is only for the CTCs or Certified Travel Consultant members.
Once you become a CTC, you will enjoy much higher commissions on travel bookings, a lower travel package rate for you and among other perks.
#2 Lucrative Compensation Plan
By becoming a Travel Consultant for Traverus, you will have a chance to earn 65-75% in commissions for each travel package that you sell.
Take note; these packages usually cost thousands of dollars so you can imagine how much can you expect to make per sales.
Furthermore, you will get better commissions and passive residual rewards by recruiting more people into the company.
#3 Less Competition
One good thing about joining Traverus and becoming a travel consultant is its unique niche.
Unlike the Health and Wellness MLM industry where the market is overly saturated, you will have far less competition when promoting Traverus products and services in the travel niche.
My Concerns About Traverus
Now before we dive into the hairy details below, I would like to make it clear that the things I will share from here on are my personal opinions alone.
You may or may not agree with me, and that is only natural.
My opinions about Traverus is purely based on my years of experience in the MLM industry and in reviewing different business opportunities.
At any point, you feel that you want to share your thoughts about anything on this Traverus review, please feel free to utilize the Comment Section below.
Now, let’s begin with the first thing that might be an issue when you join Traverus for business purposes.
#1 Selling Traverus Products is Hard
Traverus’ compensation plan may be a lucrative one but let me tell you, selling travel packages and the affiliate packages for Traverus is not easy. I have experienced selling MLM products in my past career as a network marketer, and it was grueling.
This is taken into consideration that I love selling products, and it is one of my passions, and yet, I still struggled to get good results. How much more if being a salesperson is not your forte?
Besides, most Paycation travel packages are not that cheaper compared to other travel outlets. In fact, some packages even cost more and are ridiculously overpriced to pay off lucrative commissions to the affiliates.

#2 Growing your Network is Harder
If making money by selling the products and packages of Traverus (and for most other MLM companies), recruiting people and building your team is more challenging.
Your sponsor may have told you to list all the people you know who might love to save money when booking vacays and getaways (since we are focusing on Paycation) which is basically anyone you know. You can probably list down hundred of them easily.
But again, base on my actual experience, out of 100 people you list, you would be lucky if 20 books a trip within the entire year. That’s less than 2 people a month.
Out of the 20 people who book a trip, maybe 2-3 of them will join Traverus because they too would like to take part in the lucrative comp plan. Let’s say you get 1 recruit in a quarter so 4 in a year. Yikes.
Out of those 4 people, you are lucky if 1 remains active for the entire year. Not looking good and the numbers may be stacked against your favor, but as what they say, numbers don’t lie.

#3 Heavy Emphasis on Recruitment
The real money in Traverus is by recruiting more people into your team. This is not a surprising thing since in almost all MLM companies out there…
The only way for you to succeed is by recruitment.
It is impossibly hard to make a sustainable income if you are only selling the travel packages and rely on your personal sales commissions. If you ever dream of earning 5 or 6 figures in Traverus…
You have no choice but to be a relentless recruitment machine. And that itself has its own pitfalls.
No matter how legit an MLM company is, if the members are giving more emphasis on recruiting people because it pays better instead of selling products…
Then they are getting involved in something called a Pyramid Scheme.
#4 Expensive Startup Capital
If you take a look at the two starter packages of Traverus, the RTC will cost you $200 plus a monthly recurring fee of $60. The CTC will cost you $400 plus the monthly recurring fee for the website.
Considering you don’t get any physical products to sell other than having the right to earn commissions.
This means that after you completed your signup and paid your membership fee, you need to promote your products or recruit new immediately to get back some if not all of your initial investment.
Take note; there is a recurring monthly website membership fee of $60.
#5 MLM Businesses Rarely Works Out For Anyone
I know that I sound like an ANTI-MLM guy but please bear with me.
First off, I will make it clear that I do not hate MLM. I was in the industry for more than 6 years.
There are good things that MLM can offer. However, I feel that the business model puts you in a lot of disadvantage.
Yes, it is true that there are 100’s and even 1000’s of people who made 6, 7 or 8 figure incomes with their respective MLM companies.
But if you compare that number to the hundreds of millions of people who in the end did not make money with MLM…
You can see why I would not recommend Traverus (and any other MLM company) as a reliable source of income.
The truth is, more than 95% of all the people who joins the MLM industry fails. Here’s why.
Is Traverus a Scam?
Traverus is not a scam. However, this also depends on how you define a scam for yourself.
I say that Traverus is not a scam because you will get something worthy in exchange for your investment.
I apologize but I cannot go into details what are the products that you will get for the Health and Wellness and Personal Empowerment department but in Paycation for example, you may not get an actual product…
But you will have the right to sell the company’s travel packages and earn commissions.
However, there is no way to guarantee that you can make easy money online as what Traverus and your sponsor might have told you.
Maybe this is also where the rumors of Traverus scams came from because people are made to believe that this company is a legit Get-Quick-Rich program.
Unfortunately, no such thing exists.
Should You Join Traverus?
That depends on what you want to do and what things are you willing to do.
- Are you comfortable selling overpriced products and recruiting people to join your business?
- Can you manage a team of individuals, some of which you just met?
- Are you determined enough to be patient and do this in the long run?
These are some of the questions that you must answer before you decide to invest your hard-earned money in Traverus and Paycation.
Meanwhile, you are open into considering other opportunities that do not require you to sell tons of products and recruit countless of people to the verge of running a pyramid scheme…
Then you might want to check out these popular online business opportunities instead.
My Humble Advice
Whether you join Traverus and promote travel packages or recruit people to earn money is up to you. However, make sure that it is something you are truly passionate about.
Most people fail in their business no matter what it is (except scams) because they get started because of the hypes and sweet promises of making easy money…
Instead of listening to their own heart if the opportunity is something they truly love doing.
