Overall Business Opportunity Rating:
Quick Summary: The first question to ask yourself before getting involved in Trivita is if the products did work for you. As a Trivita Affiliate, you are basically a salesperson of the company. It makes no sense (and unethical) to convince other people to buy the products that you don’t truly believe in.
And if the Trivita products did work, you’ll have to consider if this business aligns with your personality, passion and interest. Contrary to what some people say, the Trivita business opportunity is not for every one and I will discuss why below.
That being said, in case you decide to start a career in network marketing with Trivita or look for other business that better suits you, here are some training materials for the direction you choose…
FOR TRIVITA AFFILIATES
IF TRIVITA IS NOT FOR YOU
What is Trivita?
Trivita, or TriVita Wellness, is a Multi-level Marketing (MLM) company that sells “a complete line of premium products” supporting healthy aging, energy, performance, and targeted supplements for a variety of health concerns.
Founded by Michael R. Ellison way back in 1999, Trivita has been operating for over two decades already.
It is a recognized brand in the health and wellness MLM niche alongside giants like USANA, Herbalife, Amway, and Forever Living.
So if you want to join Trivita for business, you’ve got the company’s longevity and stability in your favor.
The MLM industry is harsh, and the competition is high, which is why many companies don’t even survive their early years.
Joining a company with a track record like Trivita, you can feel safe that this company isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Nevertheless, whether or not you’ll be able to earn a part-time or even a full-time income with Trivita can’t be guaranteed by the company’s long track record alone.
Other crucial things directly affect your success in Trivita.
So to get a clear idea if this is indeed the income opportunity you’re looking for, let’s take a closer look at what this company is all about.
Let’s start with the truth about the Trivita products.
Are Trivita Products FDA Approved and Safe to Use?
I found it intriguing (alarming even) that many people on the Internet, even some Trivita reviews, claim that Trivita products are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
As far as I know, Trivita products are, by definition, what is referred to by the FDA as “dietary supplements.”
In fact, Trivita also prints it clear on its product labels and descriptions.
Now, why do this matter?
Its because according to the FDA, the federal law does not require dietary supplements to be proven safe to FDA’s satisfaction before they are marketed.
Ergo unless I miss something, the FDA did not approve any of the Trivita products.
Furthermore, regardless of what other people say, dietary supplements are not drugs, and they are not intended to treat, diagnose, cure, or alleviate the effects of diseases.
What is true, though, is that Trivita products are created in cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant facilities that follow the proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes specified by the FDA. (Source)
As an affiliate of this company, it is your moral obligation to educate your customers about these matters and not start a misconception.
And contrary to what some Trivita affiliates might have led you to believe, it isn’t 100% safe to use the Trivita products.
When it comes to product safety, the FDA suggests that you consult with a health care professional before using any dietary supplement to avoid harmful, even life-threatening results.
I repeat, it must be your priority to inform your customers about these facts for their safety, rather than telling them false claims so that you can earn profits.
But I’m sure you’ll never take advantage of other people just to make money.
Do Trivita products Work?
It isn’t hard to find positive Trivita product reviews on the Internet, especially on its Facebook page.
Nevertheless, not all feed backs are positive.
For every good review out there, you can also easily find people who are disappointed with the Trivita products. Now, what could be the reason for this discrepancy?
Does Trivita products work or not? Well, the answer depends on the person that uses the products.
Like I discussed above, Trivita products are not drugs but instead dietary supplements. And depending on the person that takes them, dietary supplements may or may not work.
So if you are eager to try any of the Trivita products because someone has “guaranteed” that they will work, now you know the truth.
I’m not saying that person is lying to you on purpose, but it could be that he/she is simply “misinformed.”
Meanwhile, as a distributor of this company, you must be prepared to accept the fact that not all people will have good things to say about your products, nor every one will buy them.
And as much as I hate to damage the reputation of a company you’re interested in, I have to inform you that…
Trivita was fined $3.5 million by the FTC!
In 2014, Trivita got into trouble with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding false product claims about their product Nopalea.
Allegedly, Nopalea was advertised by the company as “a fruit drink derived from the Nopal cactus that could alleviate, treat and cure ailments.” These claims clearly violate and go beyond the definition of a dietary supplement.
According to the records of the FTC, Trivita agreed to provide $3.5 million for consumer refunds to settle the charges of deceiving consumers with unsupported claims that Nopalea would treat a variety of health problems. (Source)
At the time of this Trivita review, the company is still selling Nopalea but has dialed down its over-hyped health claims about the said product.
As a consumer myself, I would think twice in purchasing anything from a company that has a record of making false claims regarding its products.
And while this might not be a big deal to you, your potential costumers in the future might have something to say about this matter as well.
But of course, these are merely my own opinion. If you have something to contribute to this matter, you can leave a comment below.

Now, with a wide selection of products, Trivita allows you to tap into different niches in the health and wellness industry.
This is a plus for affiliates of the company selling its products to the public.
Aside from the individual products, Trivita also sells bundles and savings pack that allows you to save a couple of bucks by purchasing multiple products at once.
That being said, have you tried any of Trivita products? How was your experience?
If you’ve had a pleasant experience with any of the products above, it could be that you want to become an affiliate of the company and be an advocate of health.
So starting at this point in this Trivita review, we shall be discussing the company’s business opportunity.
Trivita Business Opportunity – It might be not for you!
Trivita offers an affiliate program for anyone interested in making money promoting their products.
Cost to Join Trivita – Not free?
On the company website, it says you can become a Trivita Affiliate Marketer for free and will not be required to stock, ship, or resell any products.
Trivita claims that it will provide you with the tools to promote the company and its products to other people.
The company will then handle all the logistics, including credit card processing, inventory, shipping, returns, and customer service.
If you’re familiar with affiliate marketing, you could say that it works the same way as what Trivita offers you.
Except for the fact that as a Trivita Affiliate, you will only be limited to promoting Trivita products alone, whereas, in real affiliate marketing, you’ll be able to promote any product that you want based on your passion and interests.
Furthermore, to earn commissions from the company, you will be required to place a minimum product order of 50PV per month.
Each Trivita product is assigned with points, and you can generate PV or Personal Volume every time you purchase a product.
However, Trivita didn’t provide clear guidelines on the PV you can earn per product, so as I was writing this Trivita review, I cannot exactly say how much it will cost you to generate 20PV and qualify for commissions.
I’m afraid this is something you’ll have to clarify with the person who introduced you to Trivita.
I’m sure you wouldn’t want to join a company thinking you can make money for free…
Only to realize that you’ll need to place an order each month that could amount tens and even hundreds of dollars.
Compensation Plan
Trivita has one of the most straightforward compensation plans from all the MLM companies I’ve reviewed so far.
Retail Commissions
As a Trivita Affiliate, you will be able to earn 20-40% commissions form the product orders of the people that buy Trivita products per your referral.
There are different ranks within the Trivita affiliate program, and you will move up the ranks depending on the product sales you generate each month.
The bigger your GV or Group Volume, which is the total product sales made by you and your team, the higher you will climb the ranks, and the better is your income.
Rank Advancement Bonuses
You will receive one-time cash bonuses from $150 up to $2,500 every time you move up within Trivita’s affiliate rankings.
And because your rank depends on product sales each month, the only way you can move up is by building a large sales team (recruitment) because their sales will count as your own.
Making A Full-Time Income From Home Without Selling And Recruitment Is Possible! Here’s How
Unilevel Commissions
Trivita will pay you monthly residual commissions based on the total sales of each affiliate in your sales team via a Unilevel pay structure.
In case you aren’t familiar with the different types of MLM compensation plans, the Unilevel the most commonly used one.
In Unilevel, every person you personally recruit into joining Trivita will be placed as your Level 1 sales team.
The Level 2 position of your team will be filled with new affiliates recruited by your Level 1. Level 3 will be filled with the recruits of your Level 2 and so on.
Trivita will pay you monthly Unilevel commissions each month down to seven levels deep as follows:
- 20% commissions – Level 1
- 4% commissions – Level 2 to Level 6
- 3% commissions – Level 7
However, your ability to earn on all 7 levels will be based on your current rank.
As a new affiliate or Independent Trivita Business Owner (ITBO), you are only entitled to earn down to your Level 3 while Presidential Directors can earn all the way.
Aside from ranks, you will also need to have at least 50PV (like I discussed above) to become eligible for commissions.
Higher ranks will also be required to generate between 200GV up to 200,000GV to qualify for commissions.
Needless to say, the Trivita business opportunity is all about building a large sales team and finding the right people that will become your regular monthly customers.
A proven way to do so is to learn how to utilize the Internet to find a constant supply of prospects outside your social circle.
I say outside your social circle because while your family and friends may buy your products to support you at the start, most of the time, they are not the right people for your business.
They aren’t likely going to keep spending money each month for your sake, much less build a network marketing business with you.
Are Trivita Affiliates Making Money?
For a company that has been around for more than 20 years, I find it very disappointing that Trivita didn’t provide an income disclosure statement to show whether or not the company affiliates are making money.
Surely they are making profits or else the company would have shut down already.
Still, the question is, how much of the profits are actually going to the pockets of Trivita affiliates and ITBOs? I’m afraid it’s anyone’s guess for now.
Although, if most of the company affiliates are making money with this business, don’t you think Trivita is touting about it already?
Food for thought.
Is Trivita a Scam?
While I may have voiced out a lot of concerns about the company products and of its business opportunity, I am confident to say that Trivita is not a scam.
This company provides customers with high-quality products created in cGMP compliant facilities, and there have been many people that benefited from them.
Also, some people may be worried that Trivita is a pyramid scheme because of how this business operates.
But according to the FTC, a business opportunity can be considered a pyramid scheme if your only source of income is through recruitment.
As a Trivita Affiliate, you can earn money without recruiting a single person through retailing.
It is also free to join this company, and you won’t get any form of compensation when you enroll in a new affiliate.
Nevertheless, the fact remains that selling a ton of products by building a large sales team is what the Trivita business is all about.

Verdict – Should You Join Trivita?
If you’re planning to join Trivita because you want to avail product discounts, I suggest that you clarify it with the company first.
I wasn’t able to verify if the company does give product discounts to affiliates, only that you can earn commissions from the people that you refer to buy Trivita products or join as affiliates too.
But if your intention in joining is purely business-related, then let me ask you this…
Did the Trivita products work for you? If not, then joining this company might not be a wise decision. How will you convince other people to buy the products that you don’t truly believe in?
And if the products did work, are you comfortable in selling dietary supplements and recruiting people to do the same?
Well, I’m in no position to tell you how you want to make money, but I believe you’ll do what’s right and best for you.
But just in case at this moment you realized that this is not the income opportunity you want to get involved in, yet you’re still looking for ways to make money…
Then I highly recommend that you check out this program.
It is the same program that turned me from a nobody to somebody online, and it allowed me to earn a full-time income from home without selling or recruiting.
I’ve shared my early income proof here: 2015, 2016, 2017.
Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read this Trivita review. I hope that you found the answers that you were looking for.
